Where the trade-offs are
Recycled polyester, GOTS and Oeko-Tex

We are not plastic-free yet. That is the honest answer.
Until we are, we use recycled polyester certified to GOTS, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, or both. Certification removes PFAS, formaldehyde-based finishes, and the rest of the chemical load. What is left is plastic that performs, without the chemicals.
Socks, recycled polyester and cotton

Pure natural fibre socks do not hold up. They wear through fast. We will not sell you that.
We use recycled polyester and cotton blends instead, Oeko-Tex certified. Durable enough to last a season, without the chemical finishing.
Silicone grip panels

Silicone grip on every glove palm.
Silicone is not chemical-free. Curing leaves trace cyclic siloxanes and residual platinum catalyst behind. We are not hiding that.
It never touches skin the way a jersey or bib does. It is a thin layer on the outer palm, against the bar, not worn against you for hours. That is why we chose grip performance here.
Rain jackets

A jacket that will not pack into a jersey pocket is a jacket most riders will not carry. That ruled out ventile cotton here, better suited to bikepacking and mountain biking where pack size is not the constraint.
We use recycled polyester to stay competitive on packability. Certified. Chemical finishing removed. Still plastic.
Where we don't compromise
Plant-based chamois

Most chamois pads are bonded with plastics and glue, against the part of your body under the most pressure on a ride.
Ours are not. Plant-based material, no adhesive bonding.
Bottles, plastic and plant-based

Standard bottles: plastic, BPA-free. Plastic, not a chemical risk.
Want to skip plastic entirely? We also do plant-based bottles. Same standard. One just skips plastic.
